The return of Moyes as manager to Everton saw a shock 3-2 win at Goodison Park against Tottenham putting the club comfortably two places above the relegation zone, only four behind struggling Spurs. Ange has been struggling at spurs but this defeat means relegation for spurs is unlikely but a possibility to not ignore. Everton currently sit in 16th and Tottenham in 15th. The home side went three goals up in the first half with Spurs barely getting an opportunity on goal. Tottenham found the back of the net late on in the second half and another goal came from ex-Everton star Richarlison in injury time.
Moyes has been reappointed at the club after 12 years, Everton consistently finished between fifth and eighth in the league under Moyes, and at the time of his departure, he was the theirs longest-serving current manager in the league behind Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger, at 11 years and 3 months. Spurs have been rumoured to stick with Ange despite the criticisms and poor form.
With a strong start to the game, Dominic Calvert-Lewin ended his personal struggles and scored in the 13th minute from a poor cross by Pape Sarr to Lindstrøm. The Everton forward had gone 16 games (1,288 minutes) without a league goal prior to this game.
Senegalese national, Iliman Ndiaye brought the second goal in the 30th minute. The midfielder worked with Gueye to build a perfect opportunity in the box and planted the ball in the top of the net.
Late in injury time of the first half, as Tottenham's form couldn't look any worse, Spurs youngster Archie Gray sliced the ball into his own net. Calvert-Lewin flicked the ball from a cross in by Tarkowski and Gray attempting a clearance puts the ball past keeper Kinsky.
As the half-time whistle blew, Moyes' name was echoing around Goodison Park once again.

The second half brought much of the same from Tottenham, weak chances and a disjointed midfield. Everton looking keen to keep their lead, brought on defender Ashley Young for midfielder Lindstrøm.
Kulusevski took advantage of a mistake by Pickford to come off his line to prevent a Maddison attack in the box. The midfielder took a shot from just inside the box and fired the ball straight over Pickford to close their deficit slightly.
In the second minute of injury time, ex-Everton striker Richarlison taps-in a Moore cross to make the score 3-2.
Even with two late goals from Spurs to close the difference, this was certainly no late charge for the away side and some difficult conversations are sure to be had on the Tottenham board.
