Points shared as winning droughts continue for both clubs - Salford City, in the hunt for a play-off spot, hosted Bromley this evening at the Peninsula Stadium. Both teams entered the match desperate to shake off their recent poor form, with Bromley winless in six games and Salford City looking to end their own five-game winless streak. The traveling side quickly established their dominance in attack, surging to a three-goal lead (aided by a contentious refereeing decision). Just when Bromley seemed certain to be making their long journey home with a victory, Salford mounted a spirited response to this early setback, fighting back to claim a hard-earned point.

Bromley struck first after 12 minutes, Swansea City loanee Congreve scores on the volley extending Salford's run without a clean sheet to six matches. The hosts managed one promising chance from a free-kick on the edge of the box, but Bromley dominated despite Salford's defensive setup.

The visitors nearly doubled their lead when Thompson's cross found Cheek, whose header grazed the far post. Imray then forced Jones into a diving save as Salford's injury-hit squad struggled to respond. The home side's penalty appeals were waved away by referee Simon Mather when Stockton was taken down by Jenkinson after latching onto Mnoga's long ball. A clear oversight by the referee.

Bromley made it two when Imray’s ball found Cheek, whose looping header sailed in with little action fom Jones, possibly believing the striker was offside. The 1,943 home fans made their feelings clear about referee Mather's first-half performance, booing him down the tunnel as Bromley took a two-goal advantage into the break.

Three changes at the break for the Ammies signalled their intent, though home fans remained focused on Mather's contentious decisions.

Any hope of a revival was quickly extinguished as Bromley struck their third - Imray's long ball finding Congreve, who brushed off home side captain Tilt before finishing with his left foot.

Matt Lund marked his 150th appearance for the M7 club with a diving header, giving the Ammies hope for a comeback with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Bromley responded with two changes to reinforce their high line, but Lund wasn't finished - adding another diving header to make it 3-2.

With six minutes added, Salford pushed for the equaliser. Their persistence paid off in the 90+1 minute when Lund found Stockton, who headed home to complete a remarkable comeback.

Bromley were left stunned at surrendering their three-goal lead, while Salford celebrated salvaging an unlikely point.

POTM – Danny Imray - The Bromley right-back was a constant attacking threat, with his pace down the right causing Salford problems throughout the first half. His influence was particularly evident in Bromley's attacking success, providing pinpoint assists for both Cheek's opener and Congreve's second goal. Despite Salford's eventual comeback, Imray's dynamic performance and attacking contributions made him stand out as the game's most impressive performer.
