AC Milan completed a stunning comeback at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh to defeat Inter Milan 3-2 to lift the Supercoppa Italiana trophy. The Derby della Madonnina was full of drama, with AC Milan overcoming a two-goal deficit to clinch their seventh Supercoppa title. Milan came into the match as the underdogs, currently sitting 8th in Serie A, while their rivals Inter are 3rd in the league.

The first half was largely uneventful, with few chances for either side. However, in injury time, Lautaro Martínez gave Inter the lead, heading home a cross from Denzel Dumfries to make it 1-0 at the break.

Inter extended their advantage early in the second half. In the 47th minute, Stefan de Vrij played a perfect assist for Mehdi Taremi, who finished clinically to make it 2-0, and it seemed like Milan’s chances of a comeback were slipping away.

AC Milan responded almost immediately. Just five minutes after Inter's second, Theo Hernández scored a powerful set-piece goal to put his team back in the game.

With only 10 minutes of regular time remaining, US international Christian Pulisic found the back of the net to level things at 2-2, sending the match into it's final stretch.

As the game entered injury time, it appeared destined for penalties, as the Supercoppa doesn’t feature extra time. But in the 90+3 minute, Tammy Abraham, the former Chelsea striker, was the hero finishing off a through ball from Rafael Leão to score the winner and complete Milan’s dramatic turnaround.
